Thank you for all the letters, emails, phone calls and Facebook comments over the past few months- reading your messages of encouragement and support really made the experience worthwhile.
I am looking forward to a few days off but I have not lost the desire to make a difference.

Official press statement from Mayoral Candidate Colin Craig
It looks like a good result for Len and I congratulate him on his success.
As a genuine independent campaigning against politically backed candidates it was a tough challenge especially given my business and other commitments.
I am really happy with the work of my team and the great support I have received. A special thanks to all those who voted for me.
I am pleased to have polled a respectable third especially given the focus on a two horse race.
For me it was always about people not politics and the many comments and letters I have received from supporters have been very encouraging and I am not ruling out standing for office in the future.
