Colin Craig is an Aucklander, born and bred.
Colin Craig was born on January 8, 1968 at Auckland’s National Women’s Hospital and grew up in Howick, East Auckland.
He attended the University of Auckland where he completed his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts degrees.Following this, Colin joined the New Zealand Society of Accountants as a chartered accountant.
He then went on to complete post-graduate studies in business management and economics at Massey University.
Colin Craig has the credentials and proven ability to manage the new super city of Auckland.
Immersing himself in the property sector, Colin has started five successful businesses with his current company managing approximately $1.3 billion worth of property assets in Auckland City.
During his career, he has not only been responsible for property, but also managing a number of staff in both his companies and the companies of his clients.
Colin is not affiliated to any political party – but he’s not new to politics.
Colin has always had an active interest in politics, making submissions and raising interest on a number of issues.
In 2009, Colin organised the March for Democracy to highlight the continual failure of the government to be directed by Citizens Initiated Referenda.
Standing as a candidate for Mayor of the Auckland Super City, Colin is for people, not politics.

Colin has a genuine appreciation for the diversity Auckland has to offer having lived in Manukau and Auckland City as well as across the bridge on the North Shore and in the Rodney district.
In his spare time, Colin enjoys reading and entertaining friends and family with many a kiwi BBQ over the summer.
Colin has been married to his wife Helen for 18 years and they have one daughter together.
